Wayang Museum

On the site of former churches, then a private company now this places acts as the Wayang Museum. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, it costs 2000 rp admission. If you want to take pictures then you must pay an extra 15,000 rp.

The pleasant courtyard reflects its earlier life with several tombstones dedicated to earlier prominent Dutch settlers.

If you are interested in Wayang and shadow puppetry then on the last Sunday of the month there is a show put on here. I did meet one of the puppeteers who puts on the show with his father, he speaks very good English. I asked him to knock up some information about his art and look forward to receiving that.

In the meantime if you have any questions perhaps contact him direct aldy_leo99@yahoo.com
