Jaguar the Dutch nicked this from the Portuguese in
Melaka. Women used to come to it to seek blessings and
fertility though at least one woman was not so happy.
She asked for a child for her daughter but it seems the
message got mixed up for soon after indeed her daughter
did get pregnant but it was the wrong daughter. The
married one stayed barren while the unmarried one
produced. Bloody cannons eh? |
